India-based manufacturer Sona Papers provides premium paper range including boards, fine and specialty papers and 100 percent recycled paper.
Vikrant Chhabra, managing director of Sona Papers, says: ‘Paper is a natural product. Its use, reuse and disposal method will aid in ensuring the sustainability of the environment.’
Established in 1966, Sona Papers promotes eco-friendly and recycled paper with a commitment towards sustainable business. The company has adopted a stringent code of business ethics and eco-friendly practices.
‘The use of environment friendly and recycled papers plays a part in our “green strategy”. Our entire range of signature papers support sustainability,’ Chhabra says.
The demand for sustainable products is consistent and growing since the MEA region is a hub for most corporate giants. The government also plays a dynamic role in the demand for recycled paper to support the environment. The UAE government has banned plastic bags and limited the usage of plastic bottles.
‘The initiatives will lead to a massive demand for recycled paper,’ Chhabra highlights.
The company gets the most demand for its products from government departments, corporates and media agencies.
Sona works with paper mills such as Cordenons, Neenah and Lenza that produce sustainable, environmentally friendly and 100 percent recyclable papers. It is an FSC certified company and collaborates with FSC paper mills as well.
‘We are super excited to be participating in the GPP exhibition. We are eagerly waiting to meet people from different countries and understand their requirements. Gulf Print & Pack has undoubtedly been a successful event for Sona in the past and we look forward to receiving an even enormous success in this edition,’ Chhabra concludes.
