India based MLJ Industries will introduce a range of new products at Gulf Print & Pack 2022 including self-adhesive, filmic and barcode labels and silicone release liners for applications in FMCG and automotive segments in the Middle East and Africa market.
In 2020, MLJ added self-adhesive and silicone coating lines at its three-acre plant in Greater Noida, India. The plant was already equipped with poly extrusion lines, one siliconizer, and two combination coating lines for silicone and hot melt adhesive to create pressure-sensitive adhesive labelstock. The company’s production capacity is 100 million sqm a month.
MLJ is developing several new products for the MEA market including a substitute for Clay Coated Kraft papers (CCK). ‘There is a huge requirement for these products due to price. The cost of these products is very high and we are trying to develop a substitute that costs less,’ says Vinay Jain, managing director.
The company is also focusing on technical products such as thermal labelstock for barcoding along with paper-based packaging and related products for applications including e-commerce and disposable food packaging.
‘We are very excited and looking forward to meeting potential customers coming to GPP. We will be covering several regions including African market through GPP. We expect to meet buyers, suppliers at the show and industry peers during the show,’ Jain commented.
‘We are into manufacturing and conversion [of paper products]. The market is growing every year. Our international background and exposure towards this industry as a supplier of raw materials is an advantage. I think this is a great opportunity for us.’
